Vacation season – Your self- care break 😊

Welcome back!


Have you made your plans to rejuvenate and restore your peace of mind (mental) and body (physical health)?


To restore my peace of mind and relax my body I look forward to my annual trip to Atlantic City.

I am rejuvenated walking on the famous Boardwalk spanning 5.8 miles. For me, a leisurely walk along the Boardwalk is calming in sunshine or rain, breathing the sea air, listening to the waves of the water, and watching others having fun swimming and playing ball on the beach.


How do you relax and have fun? What is your perfect vacation, fun in the sun activities, winter in the mountains or nighttime entertainment?


Dr. Chatterjee suggests in his book “Happy Mind, Happy Life Science of Mental Well Being” one can go on holiday every day by adding journaling, breathwork and mediation to your routine. He notes “it’s a daily act of self-love, your excuse to care about yourself, to remove yourself from the pressures of the world and to remind yourself that you are of supreme value.”


Best part of a self -care routine, is you can have fun exploring options to improve and customize to fit your wellbeing.

Vacation Hat

For Sun Protection designed by Deborah Mocha


Vintage white texture straw wide brim with a multicolor design band perfect for vacation. I restored this hat! Over the years, this was my favorite hat to wear for protection in the pool. Unfortunately, it became stained with brown rings. I removed the stains by using a sponge and cleaning mixture solution of ¼ cup peroxide to ¼ teaspoon warm water. I was amazed the stains disappeared after 3- 4 applications of this solution between drying periods. This hat is ready for my trip to Atlantic City 😊
