SEPTEMBER 2024 – What is “ENOUGH" to make you happy?

Welcome!

September’s is the time I ask:  What will I need to be comfortable and prepared for the changes in Fall weather? It is also the time of year; I find myself asking: Do I have enough? Am I happy with my current life?

In attempt to answer these questions, I started my search for answers by reflecting on my life and making a mental note of what brings me joy.

To help me get into the “mindset of enough” I was fortunate to find a book entitled “Enough - “Learning to simplify life, let go, and walk the path that’s truly ours” by Jessica Rose Williams.

Jessica helps guide her reader to answer, “how to truly find contentment in your life.” She uses her life experiences as examples and provides questions to ask yourself and exercises to complete to help you to find “enough” in your life. She discusses the following areas of life:

  1. Things - looking at clutter, chaos, and materialism

  2. Space- reflecting on our use of our time, friendships, and digital lives.

  3. Within ourselves - move deeper to your emotional, spiritual, and personal beliefs.

Jessica encourages us to find our “enough” and believes:

“It’s always a suitable time to create a simpler, more intentional, and meaningful life for ourselves and put ourselves back on the paths intended for us.”

After reflection on my life, I am mindful of Jessica’s new way of thinking as helpful suggestions in my journey of finding “enough”.

Looking forward to having a cup of coffee and conversation.
